Ginger Auld

Ginger Auld is an actor, director, singer and teacher and is a Door County native graduating from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1967. In her over 50 years of being part of a vast and varied theatrical world she has enjoyed the privilege of collaborating with wonderful artists who bring the works of great writers to life. She was Actress in Residence at the Alley Theater in Houston, Texas and Acting Resident Member of Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has also performed with Pittsburgh Public Theater and has professionally acted in various venues in Chicago, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin performing her last professional show before retiring from AEA at TAP in Door County Wisconsin. Among her favorite playwrights are Shakespeare, Ibsen, Pinter, Shaw and Moliere. Among the companies she has directed for are; Pittsburgh Playwright’s Theatre Company, Saltworks Theater Company, The University of Pittsburgh and, upon returning to Door County, Isadoora Theatre Company. She continues to encourage young actors and has taught classes in acting, improvisation, dialects and period stage movement. In the winter days of her life she wishes to help build and dedicate this company, Actors Collaborative Door County, classic theater in service to, and for the entertainment of, the community that she loves and calls home.
